A wrestling fan from a young age, Mark Freemantle seized the chance to be involved with the finest promotion in New Zealand professional wrestling. Trained by then-Acting Head Referee Blair "the Flair" and Referee Daniel Martins at the KPW "Wild4Wrestling" training school, Mark Freemantle made his in-ring referee debut at Afterblaster on July 2008.
Once you see him in action, its easy to see why the samllest referee in KPW has the biggest heart! Despite the marked size difference, Freemantle refuses to be physically intimidated when enforcing
His slight size makes it easier for him to find the gaps in the ring and interpose himself in the action. His agility means he can be anywhere in the ring when required, and so is always in perfect position to render a pinfalll or register a submission. Having learnt the rules of professional wrestling well, Freemantle always strives to call the match fairly to ensure that any match's outcome is a fair one.
"Hope to see you at the show!"
